1. Who we are (data controller)

This policy is our information notice under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, for visitors in the European Economic Area, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What we collect

• Quote and contact forms: name, email, company, phone, shipment details (origin, destination, cargo description, weights, dates) and any message you send.
• Customer accounts (when available): login email and the shipments linked to your company.
• Communications: emails and WhatsApp messages you send us.
• Technical data: IP address, browser information and security logs needed to run and protect the website.

3. Why we use it and legal basis

• To answer enquiries and prepare quotations — steps prior to a contract / contract performance (KVKK Art. 5(2)(c); GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
• To arrange and manage booked shipments — contract performance.
• To meet legal, tax and customs obligations — legal obligation (KVKK Art. 5(2)(ç); GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)).
• To secure the website and prevent abuse — legitimate interest (KVKK Art. 5(2)(f); GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

We do not sell personal data and do not use it for automated decisions with legal effect.

4. Who we share it with

• Carriers, agents and customs brokers, only as needed to quote or perform your shipment.
• Service providers that host and operate the website and email: [CONFIRM list — e.g. Cloudflare (hosting), Supabase (database), email provider].
• Other BNM Group companies only where needed to handle your request.
• Authorities where required by law.

5. International transfers

Freight forwarding involves partners in other countries, and some service providers store data outside Türkiye. Where KVKK or GDPR requires it, transfers are made under the safeguards those laws provide (for example standard contractual clauses) or because the transfer is necessary to perform the contract you requested.

6. How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: [CONFIRM — e.g. 24 months] after the last contact.
• Shipment and invoicing records: as long as required by Turkish commercial and tax law.

7. Your rights

You may ask to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your data, object to or restrict its use, and learn who it was shared with (KVKK Art. 11; GDPR Arts. 15–22). Write to info@bnmcargo.com. You may also complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK Kurumu) or, in the EEA, to your local supervisory authority.
